Playgroup at Chisholm
Chisholm Institute
10:00 – 12:00
Our playgroups are a great opportunity to meet other parents of multiples. The sessions are are well organised and are usually run with assistance from tertiary institute students studying for qualifications in childcare (under the careful instructions from their facilitators) although we are unsure of the availability of students at the moment due to COVID disruptions to their onsite learning. Children from newborns are welcome, they don’t have to be old enough to play as the experience is as much for the parents as for the children. Siblings of multiples are also welcome to come along. When: Every Wednesday and Friday 10.00am – 12.00pm Where: Frankston Campus,Chisholm TAFE, Fletcher Rd Frankston What to bring: Gold coin donation per family (which goes to the Caroline Chisholm Society), a piece of fruit and a drink for your children. There is easy access to toilets and a change table, microwaves for heating bottles and a room to breastfeed privately in plus a great cafe downstairs. If you need anymore details please contact one of the committee members at fpmba@hotmail.com

FREE storytime to celebrate Multiple Birth Awareness Week
Rosebud Library
10:00 – 11:00
Come and celebrate the UNIQUENESS of multiples at Storytime! As, while it is often the similarities of twins that draw attention and interest from people, for health and medical experts it is the differences between twins in a pair that are the most fascinating. Therefore accurate knowledge of zygosity is an important research, community and public health issue yet despite medical health advancements, incorrect information on whether twins are monozygotic or dizygotic is still given to multiples and their parents. All local Multiple Birth families are invited to come join in a special Story time at Rosebud Library to celebrate Multiple Birth Awareness Week with the Frankston Peninsula Multiple Birth Association.
